Grand Islamic Center

Grand Islamic Center of St. Louis is a non-profit religious organization founded for the purpose of inviting non-Muslims to Islam and providing them correct information about Islam, as well as educating all Muslims, especially new-Muslims, about Islam, its faith and practice, and reminding of important information about Islam. For those objectives we teach classes and organize programs with the Scholars. We also produce a newsletter, articles, books, CDs, and other media; some for free distribution and others to assist in fundraising for our objectives. The following points outline our objectives:

1. To return to the Qur’an, the genuine Sunnah, and the teachings of the early righteous Muslims, understanding all of the religion in accordance with the understanding and practice of the Salaf-us-Saalih of our religion.
2. To caution Muslims and encourage them to remove all forms of blasphemy, heresy, innovation, and un-Islamic philosophy from their lives – or any other ideologies that are alien to the pure tenets of Islam, and to assist in guarding the genuine Sunnah against the weak and unfounded narrations attributed to it.
3. To assist in educating the Muslims and encouraging them to act in accordance with pure Islamic teachings.
4. To oppose stubborn adherence to schools of jurisprudence, prejudiced loyalty to parties and sectarian movements that destroy the Muslims’ unity upon their true religion and serve to make the Muslims as a whole weak.
5. To help provide realistic Islamic solutions to contemporary problems, and to strive for the renewal of a truly Islamic way of life.

Why the

Grand Islamic Center?

We aim to provide a refuge for those who desire to learn the Truth about Islaam. We will present the Revelation as it came, without distortion or additions. The fruition of this Center is the result of the advice of Shaykh Hishaam al-'Aarif- the khateeb of Masjid ul-Aqsa in Palestine. The administration is also directed by well-known Scholars (such as Shaykh Saalim ibn Sa'd at-Taweel, Abdullaah ash-Shreika and Aboo Salaah al-Afghaanee) and students of knowledge.
